In February 2004, the President introduced a brand new objective for NASA; to take advantage of people and robots jointly to discover the Moon, Mars, and past. in keeping with this initiative, NASA has followed new exploration ambitions that rely, partially, on sunlight physics study. those activities raised questions about how the study time table advised through the NRC in its 2002 document, ''The solar to the Earth and Beyond'', which didn't mirror the recent exploration targets, will be affected. for this reason, NASA asked the NRC to study the position sun and area physics may still play in help of the hot ambitions. This document provides the result of that evaluate. It considers sunlight and house physics either as features of clinical exploration and in aid of permitting destiny exploration of the sunlight process. The file offers a chain of concepts approximately NASA's Sun-Earth Connections software to allow it to satisfy either one of these pursuits.
